| This is Salt Spring on the Black River. There are bull rushes and Red Mangroves growing on both sides of the river. The river here is fresh water on top and even though this site is eight miles from the sea, there is still salt water underneath which is tidal. The river is important for all sorts of fish, shrimp and crabs. We stopped here for a lunch of crab at Sister Lou's River Stop.
