Welcome to the JPAT On-Line Photography, Multimedia and Web Site Production Workshop

This will be a continuously developing project produced by Mountain Visions, for the JPAT web site.

Gary Grimm and Katy Flanagan of Mountain Visions have conducted photographic and multimedia production workshops for almost 3 decades.  During the past 10 years they have also conducted workshops and provided on line web site information on these topics and web site production as well.

As a part of the development of the Jamaica Protected Areas Trust (JPAT) Interactive Internet web site project, Mountain Visions has developed a series of on-line tutorials to help citizens and others understand how to produce documentary materials that can be used on the JPAT and other Protected Area web sites in the future.

Using photographic and graphic visualization and multimedia technologies, the JPAT web site will attempt to provide Protected Area organizations and individuals a place to share ideas about preservation, restoration and ecosystem recovery. We hope this effort will also create an open communication process where citizens can become engaged in real time interaction with the restoration work.

An integral part of the JPAT web site is the “Online Conservation Network Center” which invites participation from interested individuals and citizens who want to collaborate in the contribution of  ideas, projects, photographs and web page production to this web site and to other protected area web sites.

The written material and links to workshop topics noted in the left column will be continually developed over time and will become more valuable as other people contribute their own knowledge and links to good web site information.  Please use the “Discussion Forums” and other parts of the Conservation Network to contribute to these tutorial workshop topics.
